Why Do The Hotels In Anaheim, California And Most Of Orange County Refuse To Hire Blacks?

Why do hotels in Anaheim, California and most of Orange County like the Doubletree and Embassy Suites refuse to hire blacks and only hire Hispanics for hard labor and whites for prestigious positions? But they totally leave out blacks?

I don’t mean to instigate, but how do you have proof of this? Or are you just making a generalization (which I actually would agree with)?
The only rationale I could come up with is that Orange County is predominantly a republican area, with very conservative, traditional beliefs. Therefore, outside of the box thinking is not something they’re used to.

Cuz the owners of these places are probably racists. That or they want to keep a certain “image” to their place, for instance there are places that ONLY hire blacks. I drove by a barbershop the other day, perfect example. I say keep searching, don’t let these places stop you.

I could ask the same question regarding Resort/Hospitality in Hawai’i. The locals get housekeeping / back of the house positions, and the haoles get the “Customer service” positions that require interaction. Like the other answerer above said, many places want to keep a certain image. It sucks, but that’s how the cookie crumbles with this industry sometimes.

If you know this going in, would you really want to work there anyway?
