Where Is A Really Fun And Good Restaurant Or Place To Celebrate My Friend’s 19th Birthday In Orange County?

We are throwing my friend a surprise birthday party for her 19th birthday. She lives in Irvine so we are going to surprise her in the afternoon at her house and then take her out to eat dinner somewhere in Orange County. We won’t/can’t be drinking and it will be a group of about 16 college students. I am looking for a really good restaurant where we can eat good food and celebrate her birthday in a really fun and unique way.

The Cannery in Balboa. Best kept secret in the Southland. Food is fantastic, deserts are to die for. And the view…it’s right on the water…unbelievable. You can eat inside or on the deck outside. Great steaks, seafood and even a full sushi bar. This is a special place for a special night.
EDIT
Try La Cave on 17th in Costa Mesa too. This is a throwback to the sixties. Great steaks and seafood in a Red and Black leather atmosphere. VERY sixties. They dont have a menu. They bring a cart to your table with all the food in it, and you choose from the cart. Very Peter Max! Very small place, and on any given night you can listen to great local jazz, including Ginger Baker Jr’s band.

C & O Trattoria
Italian Restaurant
Address: 31 Washington Blvd, Marina del Rey, CA
Prices: $4-$10 (Not a misprint; this appears to be the current price range)
Parking: Valet parking
Phone: (310) 823-9491
URL: C & O Trattoria
Fax: (310) 577-2366
Email: robert@cotrattoria.com
C & O Trattoria bills itself as being “one of LA’s premier Northern Italian eateries since opening in 1969,” a statement few would deny. A Venice Beach landmark, it serves freshly prepared Northern Italian cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily in a friendly and relaxed garden setting. The food portions are generous, but the cost won’t break the budget. Sing-a-longs are a nightly tradition on these premises.
The dress is casual, but reservations are recommended, so remember that if you’re planning a romantic dinner for two at C & O. Said to be one of the more romantic locations around by the way, providing a wonderful ambiance and outdoor seating. Private rooms are also available for those special times

How about Yardhouse or Cheesecake Factory in the Irvine Spectrum? Great food at both and you can walk and shop after. There used to be a Moroccan restaurant in Newport Beach if you are really looking for interesting and fun…it’s a unique experience. It’s called Marrakesh and it is on Newport Blvd. It’s been there for years. Great for a big group up for something different and fun!

If you and your friends like Indian food, check out Chakra near the UCI campus. Very good, authentic food in a pleasant atmosphere.
Best birthday wishes to your friend….

Totally cool. The Cellar is a real cellar, reached by a flight of stairs under Fullerton’s colorful Villa del Sol. Intimate and cozy, the three dining rooms are elegant amid structured beams arches, cave-like walls decorated
