Anyone Know Any Good Fishing Spots In Orange County California, Either In Fresh Or Salt Water?

I just moved to Orange county not too long ago and I am trying to find a good place to do some recreational fishing. I am ok with ocean fishing or freshwater as long as the bite is good. I used to go to mission bay in San Diego a lot, but the only places I can find so far around Orange County are the lakes they stock with Trout and Catfish, but charge $20 a day to go. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

the www below goes to a site that shows a lot of the lakes in the orange county area. most of them are park lakes but they are great when you can’t get to the ocean for an afternoon ~~~*<>{

The 20 bucks your referrin’ to, wouldn’t happen ta’ be Irvine Lake would it? If it is, I suggest ya’ go with the fee ~ it’ll be well worth your while;)!! Have a friend that ventures down there specifically just ta’ fish Irvine (lives in the Central Valley) and does nothin’ but rave on it when he returns ~ not only verbally but his catch is evidence in itself. I’ve seen 10lb, “Bow”‘s (Rainbow Trout) along with some real hefty Cats that he’s brought back. He wants me ta’ join him because of my luv for Steelhead but, I do not go anywhere close too and especially over the “Grape Vine”. Link below will give ya’ an idea of what I’m talkin’ bout’.
Good luck & “Fish On” ;)… < ' (( ( > < Irvine Lake:http://irvinelake.net/photos2.htm
